Went for a run with my mom and did 2 miles in 22:42. Felt okay, shins kind of hurt but I couldn't tell if it was just tight or not. Top right chest was kind of tight, but not too bad.

Did jump rope for 5 minutes, progressing from slow to fast then back dow nto slow. It was really hard and my calfs and arches hurt after a while.

Did jump rope, lunges, burpies, mountain climbers, squats,and a few other things for a minute each. After the burpies, my vision started acting funny and I was getting light headed, so I sat down for a bit.

Ran the 4th year 5k this morning. Wasn't really my best race ever. There were a lot of hills, and after 2 miles I stopped and walked for two minutes. I finished in 30:07. I think I also started out too hard, but it was hard to tell since when the race started it took me about a minute to actually get moving since a lot of people in front of me were just walking. Also, started out pretty cold this morning and they had us standing in the shade until the race started.
I'd like this added to my test category, since I haven't had an absence yet.

Did two warmup loops around Nameless Field in 2:56. Then did 1 minute of hard running followed by 1 minute of easy running. Did that 4 times, then changed direction and did it 4 more times. Then ran a cooldown down Lewis Mountain Road and back in about 11 minutes. Didn't really feel like I worked out at all, but my back and hip hurt.

Very cold out today and I was worried about my asthma because the side of my throat is a little sore, but it was okay. Ran to Klockner Stadium in 7:09 and did the tape run with 2 minutes hard, 2 minutes easy three times (12 minutes total). Ran a long cool down in 15:26.

Did a run that was supposed to be 3 miles (but ended up being 3.5) in 35:05. We stopped and stretched about 5 minutes into it. My lower back started hurting during the run, and it didn't feel like I was going very far compared to the amount of energy I was using.

Didn't really run a warmup because it was part of our route. Ran up by Observatory Hill and did the Circle Run (Indian Run). The hills sucked. Finished the run in 34:37 and it was about 3 miles.

Foggy and very humid today. Ran a warmup in 5:55. Did out-and-backs with 2:30 out. Did 4 in 4:50, 4:51, 5:03, and 4:59. Did a cooldown in 5:34. Lower back and left front ab hurt (the same place that was hurting in spring 2011) and felt nauseous most of the time (started last night). Birthday tomorrow!

Went to the gym with one of my suitemates this morning. I did 5 minutes on the eliptical, but it hurt my back so I decided to stop. Then I did free weights with 5lbs and lots of reps. Ran on the treadmill for a mile in a little over 11 minutes. Ran the first 3/4 at a 5.0 pace and the last 1/4 at a 6.9 pace.

Took our first test today on energy systems.
Ran a shorter warm up in 4:17. Then did four out-and-backs with 1:30 out and trying for 3:00 overall. I did them in 3:00, 2:56, 2:56, and 2:55. Then we did the same route as our warm up for our cool down, which I did in 4:08. During the out-and-backs I felt not so great and like I was going to throw up, but afterwards I felt pretty good.

Ran a warmup to the Lawn in 4:57. Ran a practice run down and back up the Lawn in 3:15. Ran it three more times in 3:17, 3:23, and 3:43. Then ran around the perimeter of the upper part of the Lawn in 2:39. Ran back to Mem Gym in 3:18. Did some pushups and crunches. Shoes and socks were soaked by the end, but I don't appear to have any blisters.
